OUR STORY

Proudly baking pies for our community since 1994

Coen & Esther De Wolf bought Keripies back in 1999 from Esther’s cousin. They moved from Holland with their 2 kids to start a new life and inspired to expand Keripies. Keripies throughout the years hasn’t changed much, a few tweaks here and there, some new flavours added but for the rest, it is your classic Keripie, year and year through.

In 2015 Esther was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and in 2017 lost her battle. Leaving Coen to run the business. Lis (their daughter) back in 2016 left her job to care for her mum while she was sick.

After Esther passed, Lis decided to take on Esther’s role within Keripies for what was supposed to be a short time, however she grew to love the role and the legacy that had been left behind. 2019 Lis’s husband Heremaia left his role as an officer at the Ngawha Correction Facility to join the Keripies Team, since then the two have decided to take on ownership and purchase Keripies as Coen is ready to retire after 23 years.

Lis and Heremaia have 3 young children and live locally. They enjoy getting out with the kids and spending time with family. They have hopes and dreams for Keripies and for the future it holds, watch this space!
